How to Use Your Own Fonts in PicMonkey

Sure, PicMonkey’s got a jillion fonts for your designs, but you’ve probably got a few beauties of your own you’d like to use, too. Who’s gonna limit you? Not us! Pro subscribers can easily access any font installed on their computer for use in PicMonkey. This is key for social media marketers, bloggers, and small business owners who need a unified brand look. It’s also great for designers and photo enthusiasts whose creativity demands the font faucet on full blast.

Add custom fonts to PicMonkey in 6 easy steps:

  1. Press Command + Space on your keyboard.
  2. Search for Font Book and open it.
  3. Find the font you want, right click it, and choose Show in finder.
  4. Copy and paste the font(s) to your desktop.
  5. Click the Choose Fonts button on the upload screen.
  6. Select the fonts you added to your desktop and click Open.

When you open the Text tab and click Add text, you’ll encounter a wealth of fonts arranged by category in the Text palette. From top to bottom you’ve got: Recently Used first, and then a whole buncha our font groups including Sans Serif, Serif, and so on.

To bring your own fonts into PicMonkey, click Upload your own fonts found at the bottom of the font drop-down list. Click Choose fonts, then navigate to your font stash and upload. That’s it! You can now use your own font(s) anywhere you’re logged into PicMonkey and you’ll never again suffer from font withdrawal.
