Hub and Mobile are Better Together

Hub and Mobile are Better Together

Both Hub and the PicMonkey mobile app are thrilling in their own right, but did you know that they each bring out the best in each other? Like peanut butter and chocolate or tacos and Tuesdays, Hub and Mobile are just better together.

For those of you who are like, “What’s Hub again? Some kind of photo storage?” Hub is so much more than just a place to keep your pictures. With Hub you can edit across multiple screens—start on your mobile phone, move to your iPad, and finish on, or whatever order of editing operations you prefer. And you can edit text and graphics even after you’ve saved. So hello to changing your mind, to stopping work and finishing it later, and to creating templates you can update endlessly!

Intrigued? Beguiled? Watch our video tutorial below to get the scoop, or skim through the highlights below:

Edit mobile creations on

When you save to Hub from the PicMonkey mobile app, photos on your phone or iPad are instantly available for editing in You can crop, apply effects and adjustments, and draw in the PicMonkey mobile app, but if you’re looking to keep your text and graphics editable for future tweaking, (or you want to access more awesome PicMonkey features), save it to Hub and open it on

Edit after saving

Again, this feature is really handy if you start a project and need to stop in the middle for whatever reason. With Hub, you can stop, save, and make changes to any saved text and graphics. This is also great if you wake up in a cold sweat and suddenly realize that the font you used on that last picture you were editing was all wrong. With Hub, that’s a two-click fix.

Add mobile images to a collage

When you store collages in Hub, you can continue to change their layout, background, and cells. (Basically, you can change everything but the text and graphics in the images.) Thanks to Hub, you can add new photos to a collage you already started, and you can insert a mobile image by clicking the caret next to Add images and selecting Hub.

Create templates

With Hub, your images can be used like templates that you can continuously modify. This is especially useful if you’re a social media manager, or you need to use the same design over and over again, but with new text. Start by opening an image in that you already edited and saved to Hub. Make your changes and click Update in Hub and then Make a copy; this will save both your new image and your original image.

Share your PicMonkey creations to Instagram and Snapchat

Hub is a major time saver for folks who like to edit images on and share those images on mobile-first platforms like Instagram and Snapchat. This is significant because you can’t normally share to these two apps from a desktop. When you save your desktop creations to Hub and open them on PicMonkey mobile, just tap Save, then Share, and pick your preferred app from among the share options. (Note that when you share to Instagram from PicMonkey, images that are cropped in a square shape will look best.)
