The 411 on Pinterest Ads

There are five different types of Pinterest ads and each can help your business in its own way:

  1. Promoted pins are a great way to draw visibility to pins you’ve already created. Promoted pins are recommended using a 2:3 aspect ratio.

  2. Promoted video pins are recommended square (1:1) or vertical (2:3, 9:16). This is an eye-catching way to connect with other pinners.

  3. One-tap pins take you directly to the website of whatever has been pinned. This is a great option if you’re promoting a product.

  4. Promoted app pins let people go from Pinterest directly into the App Store and download your iOS app.

  5. Promoted carousel pins allow 2-5 images to get pinners to stop scrolling and stare. Their recommended aspect ratio is 1:1 or 2:3.
