Girl & The Bay is a lifestyle blog created by digital marketer and mental health advocate, Mandy Ansari. Mandy believes in leveraging technology to make the world a smaller and more connected place. Content is published across platforms with the intent to help readers chase happiness in their everyday lives. 

As a Digital Design Intern, you will be responsible for supporting 360 campaigns, while developing assets that effectively tell stories. You will be expected to bring a digital-first and mobile-first mindset, awareness of emerging technologies and drive for innovation and disruption to your work. You’ll bring your digital savvy knowledge to the table for various visual storytelling projects.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Use PicMonkey to create and design digital materials to be published across various platforms such as web, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Eventbrite
  • Create dynamic and engaging blog and social media content 
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Marketing Manager to develop design concepts and campaign deliverables

  • Strong communication, organization and strategic thinking skills
  • Hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient and creative work ethic
  • Interest and experience in social media management, brand development, video production, and viral social trends.
  • Creative thinker who is on-top of visual, graphic and digital trends

  • Self-starter who is able to think quickly and work well with a team
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Instagram Stories YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest and LinkedIn
  • 10-15 hours a week to dedicate to this internship
